APESHEET SUBMISSION AGREEMENT

Think you're funny? Prove it. Write something for the ApeSheet®. It doesn't pay much. OK it doesn't pay at all, but you get to impress your friends and add published writer to your resume. If you would like to submit an article to the ApeSheet® here's the deal:

Articles should range between 300 words and 800 words. Most columns andinterviews fall between 300 words and 500 words. Feature articles and Ape Stuff submissions should be between 500 words and 800 words. Most submissions fallinto the misc. section. You can improve your chances of having your submissionpublished by targeting it to one of the other sections. If you would liketo contact us with an idea for an article before you bother taking thetime to write it, that's cool with us. The rest is mostly legal stuff.

1. By submitting your material you are giving the ApeSheet® license to publish the article on the Web site. The ApeSheet® also reserves the right to use your submission in any promotional materials. However, unlike some other sites, we won't claim sole publishing rights to your work. After all, you wrote it, not us. We only want to put it on the site so you can prove to your friends that you really are funny.

2. Anything you submit must be original material. You must have the legal right and authority to grant publishing rights for the material to the ApeSheet®. The work should not be considered libelous or defamatory, and it should not violate or infringe upon the copyright, privacy right, publicity right, trademark, service mark or any other personal or property right of any person or entity - unless it's really, really funny.

3. You agree to hold harmless the ApeSheet® from any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including legal fees and court costs, in connection with any breach by you of this agreement. Basically, if we get sued because of something you wrote, it's not our fault, it's yours.

4. The ApeSheet® is free to use your material however it sees fit. The ApeSheet® may edit or alter your article in order to make it even funnier than it already is. However, the ApeSheet® will send you a copy of your material in the form in which it will be published before it is actually added to the Web site.

If you agree to all the conditions above, send your material in the body of an e-mail along with your full name, address and phone number to submit@theapesheet.com.If the ApeSheet® plans to use your material, you should receive a reply withina few days thanking you for your immeasurably witty contribution and confirming the agreement.
